About KJUN
KJUN is Chef Jae Jung's life story through food. Growing up in Seoul, South Korea, and spending her formative cooking years in New Orleans has led her to her first solo venture.
Located at 334 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10016, KJUN operates as a korean restaurant serving New York in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as cajun restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In New York, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 amβ3 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (347) 675-8026. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is kjun-nyc.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 2,511 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded korean restaurants in New York.
New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Amazing experience. Who knew that Korean and Cajun food make such a good fusion. This is one of my top restaurants in nyc. Every dish was delicious, the ribs were super tender, and the Galbi grits top notch. The atmosphere is very nice as well. The service is also top tier and very good. I also appreciate the hand sanitizers placed at every table- more restaurants should do this.

It was a wonderful dining experience. David was very welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing. We loved the egg and caviar; the egg was so addictive. And the watermelon salad; it was so refreshing and perfect for the summer. Also, the seafood jajangmyeon that we thought was a fun take for whoever always has the dilemma of choosing jajangmyeon or jjampong because now itβs already become one dish. Will definitely come back to try more dishes.

Dinner at Kjun is so much fun! Good food, good vibe and good friends :) Recommended by Daniel Dae Kim, it doesn't disappoint! The main dishes especially bought out the sweet-spiciness Korean cooking and the spice-lacing, seafood forward in Creole/Cajun cuisine. The side dishes, however. were somewhat hit-or-miss. I am especially fond of the seafood jajang myun - it is not as saucy as the traditional Korean version , and it uses japchae (sweet potato noodle) rather than wheat noodles. The Kjun rendition is more refined - coated with squid ink and seasoned with fermented black bean sauce; it is savory, slightly chewy, total #umami bomb π The kimchi Bloody Mary is super fun! I don't even remember when did I last time had a bloody mary tho I figured, why not?! There's kimchi juice in it! It came with a little crawfish on top ha! 10/10 for presentation π¦ Service was good and the location on Lex has high ceilings and big windows. We got the table right by the window overlooking Lex Ave. Perfect for friends get together. Overall food was good, creative; however, as a banchan die-hard fan, the banchanes were quite a letdown. Hence the 3 stars. I shall be back and try the more Cajun

This meal was phenomenal from start to finish. Chef Jae Jung's combination of Cajun and Korean flavors felt so personal and unique. The service was exceptional and everyone made us feel so welcome on our first visit. Each bite was perfectly seasoned and balanced, even down to the sauces and garnishes. I'm still thinking about the anchovy aioli! Some small plate highlights for us: the watermelon salad with yuzu vinaigrette, the cod beignets, and the cracklin pork belly (the shin ramyeon seasoning was unreal!!). Both entrees we tried were also delicious, the galbi was so tender. KJUN is a restaurant that showcases the best of NYC, mixing flavors from different parts of the world and presenting it with excellence. This is a place where you want to try one of everything, and it's worth every penny!! I can't wait to go back. Also, I would recommend getting a reservation. We were able to get bar seating for 2 after about a 20 min wait, which wasn't a problem for us, but it definitely is a popular spot!

Hands down one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Thank you to David and the staff for providing such a wonderful meal and memory. The blackened catfish bites were succulent and the perfect level of spicy. The two mains, galbi w/ gritz and ribs were tender, savory, and sweet. The dessert, pecan pie, was the perfect cherry on top to finish the meal. Incredible atmosphere, top notch food, and a properly warm and inviting team of staff make this restaurant a true Diamond in the Rough.
